Would you like to create your own one minute video in Salzburg, Austria? If you are between 12 and 20 and live in Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia or the Czech Republic you can! We are looking for enthusiastic youngsters who are interested in media, want to express themselves creatively, are eager to learn new things, and would like to make new friends. All travel and accomodation expenses will be covered by the European Cultural Foundation, so just fill in the application form showing your motivation and reasons for wanting to participate.
The one minutes jr. workshop will be part of the netdays Austria 05/06 Festival (May 31 - June 2). Over 350 youngsters from Austria and bordering countries will be partcipating in various web and video workshops. Youngsters aged 14 to 25 can submit their web and video projects on this year’s theme „expedition:future“ on the netdays website till April, 21,2006. Within the Festival, the best projects will be presented and awarded with prize money. The videos which are produced during the one minutes jr. workshop will be screened on June 1st at the award ceremony ending with a great good-bye party.

if you would like to participate in a oneminutesjr. workshop, but you are not from one of the above mentioned countries, you can always send in an open application form. we will file your application and notify you when there are workshops in your region.

CALL FOR ARTISTS WORKING IN DIGITAL MEDIA TO PARTICIPATE IN A SITE SPECIFIC EXHIBITION IN THE DIGITAL HUB
To mark the next phase in the development of The Digital Hub, we would like to invite submissions from artists working in digital media, to participate in a site-specific exhibition. The Digital Hub Development Agency will provide the brief and a space in which to exhibit their work.
The six artists selected will be allocated one building each from which to draw their inspiration. Artists will be given time to visit and investigate their allocated building, take photos, record sound & video footage etc. These buildings are due to be renovated as part of the site development. This project will serve as an important historical record of the famous Liberties community, as well as an innovative environment for creative work. The completed work will be shown in a gallery environment and online. The final piece must, therefore, lend itself to be shown both physically in a gallery environment and remotely via the Internet.
Work submitted must utilise digital media technology in its construction or in the way in which it is presented. New and experimental video, web art as well as works using mobile technologies, digital stills, sound pieces, and gaming technology will all be accepted.
The Digital Hub is happy to discuss any equipment requirements for the project that the chosen artists may have.
Submissions must include:
A clearly articulated statement of an original proposal specific to the project (No more than 300 words) A visual representation of proposal Relevant portfolio of work no more than 5 images (JPEG), videos/DVDs no longer than 5 minutes. A current curriculum vitae, detailing previous experience & past exhibitions, if applicable.

Portfolio & Visual Representation of work can be sent in the following formats: Slides, photos, digital photos (JPEG), video (VHS, DVD), laser copies, CDs.

Submissions from 'emerging' practitioners and students are encouraged. Work from individuals or artists working in a group will be accepted. If you wish to have your submission tape/DVD/CD/images returned, please include a stamped addressed envelope.
