ONE WEEK UNTIL DEADLINE FOR ONEDOTZERO_10 SUBMISSIONS


hurry...just one week left to get your submission of original moving image work in for onedotzero_10, the tenth annual festival. additionally, we are looking for reliable, enthusiatic volunteers to help at the event, taking place at the ica, london, 02-11 june 2006.

london is the first stop in onedotzero's global network of festivals, which tours over 60 cities across the uk, europe, the baltics, the americas and australasia.

as the largest international festival of innovative moving image creativity, onedotzero is the destination for visionary moving image experimentation, from both established and emerging talent.

onedotzero_10 is open for submissions of original moving image work for the following programming areas:

wow + flutter: experimental explorarions in motion graphics. preference will be placed on new work created for, or premiering at the festival.

wavelength: innovative work from the most adventurous music promo directors around.

extended_play: narrative shorts

j-star: innovative japanese short-form work rarely seen outside of japan

documentaries: radical short and feature-length original documentaries.

fashion: highlighting fashion's collision with the fields of graphic design, illustration, and new forms of moving image

environment: films dealing with architecture, rural, and urban environments.

early deadline for submissions: fri 24 feb 2006

we are now accepting applications from anyone wishing to volunteer to work at onedotzero_10, from mid-march through june 2006. there are also opportunities for volunteers to work at upcoming events, including onedotzero_transvision at the v+a, 24 feb, with a view to going on to work at the festival. ideal for recent graduates, stu dents in work placement modules, or anyone eager for industry / pr experience - applicants should be reliable, comfortable on apple macs and happy working in a fast-paced environment on a wide range of tasks. additionally, we are also looking for an intern to work alongside the media officer, on pr and marketing projects, from mid-march through june 2006.
